Where The Spark Began
I have been an artist for almost as long as I can remember. By about five years old I was already drawing, filling paper with whatever I felt inside. As I grew, that spark grew with me, from pencil sketches to watercolor and eventually acrylic paint. Art became the language I understood best, a way to explore who I was and to make sense of the world around me.
Perseverance, Love, And Balance
Life filled in around my art. I became a proud mother, and later a grandmother, and I spent more than ten years working as a youth supervisor, helping young people find their footing. There were seasons that asked a great deal of me, and through all of them I kept writing and creating, often late at night. Those years of love, work, and quiet perseverance sit inside everything I make today.
Reflection And Wisdom
After more than forty years of living, loving, and paying attention, I finally gathered it all into my book, Tranquil Thoughts. It holds the reflections and small pieces of peace I have collected along the way. This is the chapter where everything comes together, and I get to share my art and my words freely, in the hope that they help you feel a little less alone.
