I am May Anderson, a self-taught artist and author in Lockhart, Texas. For as long as I can remember, I have painted, drawn, and written to make sense of what I feel and to help others feel understood too. My book Tranquil Thoughts and my acrylic, watercolor, pen and ink, and pastel work all come from that same quiet place, and I would love to share it with you.

Where It All Began
I have been drawing since I was about five years old, back when a pencil and paper felt like the safest place to be. Over the years that love grew into acrylics, watercolor, and writing, all of it a way to share what I feel and help others through their own hard days. There is so much more I would love to tell you.
